How it Works
True Ympact.....Why The "Y" In The Word Impact?
When we look across from a golfer, their arms and the golf shaft resemble the capital letter Y at address.
But at impact, the lead arm functions as an extension of the golf club forming a lowercase letter y.
With the New TRUE YMPACT™ golf training aid, it is impossible to flip your wrists beyond the desired impact position.

How To Wear The TRUE YMPACT™ Golf Swing Trainer

- Unfold the TRUE YMPACT™ training aid and loosen both straps as wide as possible.
- The straps will always be secure in the arm plate because of the convenient pull-tabs at the end of the straps. These tabs prevent the straps from leaving the cut out slots of the arm brace.
- Extend the graphite shaft of TRUE YMPACT™ to be pointing away from your body. (As seen in the photo above)
- Slide your leading arm into the straps with the top of the arm plate positioned directly on the top of your forearm. (See photo above)
- Bend your wrist back slightly to ensure the arm plate does not interfere with your wrist comfort, before securing the straps. (See photo below)
- Open your fingers and place the shaft in between your first and second finger to align the arm plate of the training aid on top of your forearm. (See photo below)

- The round circle (that holds the chrome dual-hinge pivot )should now be sitting on the top of your wrist in the same area you would wear a wrist watch. (See photo to right)
- Snug down the wrist strap first like a wrist watch. Make sure it is comfortable and not too tight to cut off blood circulation.
- Snug down the forearm strap and ensure that the top of the arm plate is sitting perfectly on top of your forearm. (Note that both straps insert in opposite directions to keep the arm plate aligned on the top of the forearm's radial and ulna bones.)
- Adjust both straps again for both position and comfort. The straps must be snug enough so the top of the arm plate does not roll around to the sides of your forearm, yet comfortable enough without causing such a cumbersome feeling that would be cutting off blood circulation!
*THE BACK OF YOUR HAND AND FOREARM NEED TO BE FACING THE TARGET AT IMPACT FOR CONSISTENT RESULTS!
TRUE YMPACT TEACHES YOU THIS VALUABLE POSITION WHEN THE ARM PLATE IS SITTING DIRECTLY ON TOP OF YOUR FOREARM AND FACING THE TARGET!
*****IT IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL THAT YOU ADJUST THE FOREARM PLATE TO BE SITTING ON THE TOP OF YOUR FOREARM FOR CONSISTENT RESULTS. ******
Adjusting The Dual Hinge Pivot
The TRUE YMPACT™ training aid has been engineered to both limit, and totally restrict the amount of lateral motion at the moment of truth...impact!
The benefit of the dual hinge pivot is it's versatility for the golfer to adjust to a comfortable address position, while maintaining a level of restriction to consistently lead the hands through the ball.
This is commonly known as a "forward press ' posistion.
This is best described when the hands lean fthe golf shaft forward at address and especially through impact.
Week after week we watch the pros hit consistent golf shots.
Their arms and golf shaft form that visual letter "y" at impact, and you have too, when you hit good shots.
If you want to know why you hit good shots, read on!
Always start your practice sessions by turning the main adjustment screw clockwise (all the way to the right) so the end of the top adjustment screw rests against the back of the moving hinging arm.
(See the photo to the left.)
This will set the leading arm and your clubshaft in, what is described as a zero degree, solid line relationship.
The lead arm is the arm that is closest to the target, and the trailing arm is the arm that is farthest from the target.
THE BENEFIT OF THE VERTICAL WRIST HINGE FOR POWER
The TRUE YMPACT™ swing trainer may be adjusted to totally restrict any lateral motion at impact, when the main adjusment screw is turned to the right and rests against the hinging arm.
This devise has been engineered to allow all golfers to make a backswing with a proper vertical wrist hinge whether you are putting, chipping, pitching, or making full swings with a driver.
Always visualize your hands leading the clubhead through the impact position, as the golf club shaft becomes an extension of the leading arm at the moment of truth — impact!
The hands should ALWAYS win the race to the ball as the clubhead catches up at impact.
Practice several small chip shots around the edge of the putting green to get a feel for the swing trainer first
Hit 10 balls with it on and 10 balls with it off.
As you progress, you can release the adjustment screw counterclockwise (to the left) for comfort.
With this "more comfortable address position" comes a slight opportunity for the hands to flip forward before or during impact.
We are always attempting to lead with the hands, leaning the shaft forward and NEVER TRY TO FLIP THE HANDS AND CLUBHEAD AT THE BALL.
If you find that you resort back to a bad habit of flipping your hands and clubhead at the ball, simply turn the main adjustment screw to the right as far as it will turn, and practice chipping again from that position.
Hitting 10 balls with the devise and then hitting 10 balls without the devise instills the proper "motion memory" for consistency.
True Ympact has been engineered to have you compress the ball to obtain maximum backspin. Leaning the shaft forward provides a higher ball flight and backspin into the greens.
This proper "forward leaning shaft" impact position provides a consistent ball flight and trajectory with backspin.....just like you see the pros execute with consistency on Tour.
The top adjustment screw has been designed to remain in the housing at all times.
The most solid ball contact is maintained as we lead the hands through impact at the "zero degree" desired impact position and the True Ympact swing trainer helps with all areas of your game.
Proper form and discipline is maintained while practicing daily with TRUE YMPACT™, so keep practicing your short game!
The Lower Support Bar And The Two Cut-Out Slots
LEFT HANDED GOLFERS REJOICE!
Remove the phillips screw from the lower support bar and turn over to enjoy!
If you never plan to return to right handed version, you can use Loctite Threadlocker to lock the screw in place.

At the opposite end of the black shaft on the TRUE YMPACT™, is the lower support bar, which is
padded to protect the condition and life of your golf clubs.
TIP
Never bend over to place your club in the lower support bar.
Instead, grab a club , hold it straight up in the air, and raise the arm and the lower support bar up to you eyes to secure your golf club.
The chrome finish on the lower support bar provides a visual alignment guide when addressing the ball.
Especially when putting and chipping.
The convenient elastic cord and pull tab (as pictured above) allow the golfer to secure any club of choice to practice with.
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PUTTING AID FOR ACCOMPLISHED PLAYERS
If you are wearing the training aid properly on the top of your forearm, the lower support bar will face the putting hole as you address the ball.
Where the arm plate faces, the lower support bar will follow!
******The alignment of the lower support bar will provide you with all the feedback in the world if you HOLD YOU POST-IMPACT POSITION AS THE BALL ROLLS TOWARD THE CUP!*****
You will immediately begin to correct your swing fault after observing if the lower support bar is pointing too far left or too far right in the post-impact position.
1) You may be rolling your forearms to the right or left when you putt. True Ympact will detect this fault!
2) If you roll your hands and forearms hwen putting, chances are, you are doing the same with your driver!
3) You may be watching your ball rolling forward when you putt; or moving your head, shoulders, or body too much. Where is the lower support bar pointing in the post-impact position?
Make a stroke while putting and hold the finish without recoiling the golf club back to your body.
Use your follow-through posistion as your barometer for improvement.
TRUE YMPACT STOPS YOU FROM THROWING YOUR HANDS AND CLUBHEAD WHEN YOU ARE CHIPPING
If you do not pivot your body back and through during your chipping or pitching shots, you may have been too "handsy", and when you throw your hands and clubhead at the ball, this limits consistency.
Remember your belly button is the guide to your pivot when chipping and pitching.
Never have your torso freeze at the ball when making a swing.
If you do, your arms will be out of sync and your swing becomes disconnected from your body pivot.
Set the TRUE YMPACT swing trainer to zero degrees when chipping.
The desired position for your golf club is always the outside c-groove slot, which is farthest away from the TRUE YMPACT™ black shaft. The inside slot may be used for preference at any time however.
Rock your shoulders when chipping, and make sure they are rocking up and down like a ferris wheel, and not side to side like a merry-go-round.
This tip will maintain a simple swing thought to narrow your shot dispersion and maintain consistency.
Some golfers like the way ithe inside c-groove cut out slot sets up visually, especially for flop shots.
Simply place the shaft of your golf club into the lower support bar, and secure by pulling on the convenient pull-tab into either the first or second c-groove cut-out.
The Release Position
ARE YOU TIRED OF HITTING THAT SLICE AND FADE?
To build a consistent golf swing that maintains accuracy off the tee, ALWAYS WARM UP WITH THIS IMPORTANT SWING DRILL
*The one arm release drill*
The top of the TRUE YMPACT™ arm plate provides a great visual reference as you swing the club with one arm.
- Place your driver into the outside cut-out slot of your TRUE YMPACT swing trainer. As you stop halfway back during the takeaway, ensure that the arm plate (your lead forearm) is facing away from your chest
- Go to the top of your swing and stop, making sure the back of your top hand is flat and in-line with the arm plate.
- As you start down in an exaggerated slow motion swing toward the ball, your forearms should swivel naturally with the lead forearm facing the target at impact.
- Stop at impact and observe the solid line relationship with the hands leading, and the golf shaft leaning toward the target. Are your hands in front of the ball while your clubhead is ready to compress the ball?
- After impact, the lead forearm and arm plate continue to swivel as both arms naturally release. After impact, both arms extend fully (approximately two to three feet after hitting the ball) THIS IS THE PROPER RELEASE POSITION....NOT AT THE BALL.....BUT AFTER THE BALL.
- As you continue forward, and both arms appear to be parallel to the ground, please note that the arm plate now faces your back, as you stop halfway through the follow-through position. (See the photo below)
- This rotation of the forearms happens naturally, especially when you maintain as light a grip pressure as possible, and the movement should never be forced.
TIME TO WARM UP BEFORE A GOLF ROUND!
Swing back and forth in a non-stop continuous motion with one arm for 10 swings.
Get the FEEL for a natural release.
Feel how your forearm swivels automatically back
and forth through impact.
Also observe that your thumbs should naturally point upward on both sides of the swing.
Now place both hands on the club and continue to make another 10 practice swings
*The Two arm release drill/practice swing*
Swing with both arms and maintain a constant light grip pressure to relieve any amount of tension as you swing.
Feel the release!
One arm and two arm swings should now look and feel the same
.
THIS IS THE BEST DRILL TO DEVELOP A PROPER TEMPO BEFORE HITTING BALLS ON THE RANGE.
This is also a tremendous drill to regain your tempo when playing on the golf course!
