ALLOW TRUE YMPACT TO TEACH YOU "Y"
Remember the P.G.A.
Posture, Grip, and Alignment, with proper Ball Position determine 90% of your success even before you swing.
Posture.
Always maintain your spine angle from address through impact, to avoid chunking or skulling the ball.Keep the flex in your back knee when you swing to the top, with full swings.
With all swings, pretend your chin is sitting on a table from takeaway to impact for consistent ball striking.
Just because your arms and club swing up, doesn't mean your spine angle and back knee need to lift up!
Grip.
The True Ympact training aid will automatically correct an extremely poor grip. The golf industry describes poor grips as either "weak" or "strong" grips.
This definition relates to your top hand on your golf club when it turns in one of the following directions.
If your top hand exposes 3 or 4 knuckles (as an example), this would be described as a "strong" grip which causes hooks.
If your top hand shows no knuckles that are visible as you grip your club, this would be described as a "weak" grip.
Weak grips can cause fades and slices.
Your goal should be to always maintain consistent light grip pressure, when hitting golf balls.
Visualize Your Landing Area.
When chipping and pitching, visualize where you would toss a ball, landing perfectly, to roll into the hole.Your landing area is your target, and not the flagstick.
*Note the length and rhythmic motion you use when you simulate the imaginary tossing of a ball.*
To swing a golf club, use the same feel that you used to toss an imaginary golf ball to the target.
Take Plenty of Practice Swings.
Always make the same length and rhythm practice swing with a golf club that you would make when tossing a golf ball to the hole. This relieves tension, and teaches feel.Golf is a game of feel.
Practice swings are your best teacher to learn feel!
Club Selection.
Choose a club that will carry the ball to your desired landing area.
Ball Position.
Starting with short chips shots, the following pre-shot routine is recommended. Take several practice swings with your club using the same tempo and swing length.
Make sure every practice swing HITS THE GROUND not the grass.
*Note the location where the club hits the ground (in relation to your feet) and now place the ball in that same position before you swing through the ball.*
You just found the bottom of the arc, and you need to place the ball in that exact same place.
Take two more practice swings and rock your shoulders on the line you want the ball to travel.
Now place the ball where it needs to be, not where you want it to be!
You now have confirmed the exact location of the bottom of your arc.
That is your ball position, don't change it.
Downward Blow.
Lean towards the target with your lead shoulder allowing more weight on your front foot for chipping and pitching. Don’t lean toward the target with your hips, use your shoulder.Hold The Line.
When the True Ympact swing trainer is set at zero degrees, you will note that your hands are always leading the clubhead as your golf shaft becomes an extension of your leading arm. This is described as HOLDING THE LINE.
True Ympact helps you to maintain this position from address, to the top of your backswing, and through impact,.
Listen For Your Ball To Land On The Green.
Think ROCK AND ROLL when chipping.- ROCK...is the word you say to yourself on your takeaway.
- AND...is the word you say as you swing through the ball.
- ROLL...is the word you say as you HEAR the ball hitting the putting surface.
You’re worst mistake may be peeking at your ball while it is still airborn.
Always listen for your chip shots to hit the green before you look up.
When you hear the ball hit, it has started to roll, pause a brief moment and then look.
**You should never watch the ball after your putts roll or your chips leave the club.**
That's why we use the tee drill. After you have made your stroke, keep your eyes on the tee after the ball has left the clubface.
....Keep your eyes on the tee , where the ball used to be.
The tendency to watch your ball in motion will pull your shoulders open as you turn to look.
Your shots and shoulders will be pulled off line, every time you try to peek.
Looking to watch your ball flight, will also lead to compromising your spine angle.
Your posture will tend to leave it’s proper position, all because we're trying to watch instead of listen!
HOLD THE LINE with your TRUE YMPACT™ to maintain true impact and directional control.
Your goal when you play is to have the clubshaft of your golf club to become an extension of your lead arm at impact, and the True Ympact swing trainer guarantees to provide the proper impact position when practicing.
Extend the clubhead towards the target in the follow-through, and hold the finish position after the ball has been struck.
Observe where your clubface is pointing at this photo finish position and learn from your finish position for all swings.

- Ball Position.......................put the ball where it needs to be not where you want it to be.

Grip down lower on the grip for control.
Experiment with open stance positions for comfort.
Lean toward your target landing area with your leading shoulder and not your hips.
This provides more body weight leaning toward the target to assist with a descending swing.
Make three practice swings to locate the bottom of your arc in relation to your stance.
*Don’t brush the top of the grass, feel mother earth.*
Now place the ball where it needs to be, and not where you want it to be.
Your goal is to locate the bottom of the arc regardless of lie.
Hit the ground not the top of the grass.
Staying connected with a good golf swing means that we allow the area of our navel and chest to pivot slightly with the takeaway and follow through swings.
Don’t freeze your chest at the ball and make an arm swing.
Make a small pivot with your belly button!
Swing Builder #1.....The Impact Position
**TRUE YMPACT™ builds your short game and full swing prowess by reinforcing the proper impact
position.
Your hands will automatically be lead to compress the golf ball properly for more consistent
ball striking.**
Proper form and discipline are maintained when we set the dual hinge pivot to zero degrees (when the main adjustment screw is turned completely to the right, and is resting against the hinging arm. )
Remember the lower support bar will provide a visual guide as well.
The lower support bar helps the golfer to see their alignment both at address and follow-through positions.
If your tendency is to roll your wrists or forearm in the follow through, the angle of the lower support wil immediately indicate the fault when you hold your follow through position.
*Always remember that the back of your wrist and forearm must face the target through impact.

Bunker Tips With TRUE YMPACT™
Twist your feet into the sand to swing under the ball.
Set the True Ympact swing trainer to zero degrees and play the ball forward toward your front foot.
Always place your ball on a golf tee and try to break the tee in half by swinging under the ball.
Maintain good posture at all times and do not lunge, or push off the sand with a violent leg drive.
Full Swing Tips With TRUE YMPACT™
Practice swinging back and forth, five or six times to set a rythym and tempo before hitting a ball. This helps to relieve tension.
Note that as your thumbs point up on both sides of the swing, the leading arm and golf shaft will form a 90° angle on both sides of the swing.
SWING BUILDER #2... Hinging the wrists for power in the backswing.
The kinesthetic feeling of a proper wrist hinge is essential for consistent loading of your golf club for power and distance.
The patented dual hinge pivot allows room for personalization regardless of whether you set your wrists early or late in your backswing.
Most golfers hinge properly in the backswing, but the TRUE YMPACT™ training aid will lead you to hinge properly on the follow through to maintain a proper motion memory.
*Always swing thumbs up to thumbs up on both sides of your swing.*SWING BUILDER #3... THE PROPER RELEASE.
When your thumbs point up on both sides of your swing, you have released properly.
Extend both arms into the follow through after the impact position.
The visual reference of a poor follow through is evident if the arm plate is facing the sky after impact.
This is known as the "Hit and Hold" position.
This improper position can "block" your golf shot, causing fades and slices.
IThis "grip tight technique" may be great for bunkers or heavy rough, but not full swings.
Visualize and feel the freedom as you begin to feel a consistent release.
Resort to the one arm practice drill to establish the proper release motion.
