Chipping

CHIPPING

THE TRUE YMPACT TRAINING AID IS COMPLETELY ADJUSTABLE AND CAN BE ADJUSTED TO PRE-SET YOUR HANDS TO LEAD THE CLUBHEAD INTO THE BALL.
THIS POSITION IS RECOMMENDED WHILE LEANING THE SHAFT TOWARD THE TARGET AT ALL TIMES WHEN PRACTICING.

THE LOWER CASE LETTER "Y" IN YOUR ARMS WILL MAINTAIN STRICT POSITIONING AT ALL TIMES WITHOUT FLIPPING THE HANDS OR CLUBHEAD BEYOND THE DESIRED IMPACT POSITION.
THE TRUE YMPACT SWING TRAINER ALLOWS EVERY GOLFER TO ALSO CHANGE THEIR ADDRESS POSITION FROM PUTTING TO CHIPPING IN AN INSTANT.

THE ENGINEERING DESIGN PROVIDES EVERY GOLFER THE ABILITY TO ADJUST THE AMOUNT OF "FORWARD PRESS" TO LEAN THE GOLF SHAFT FORWARD AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES BELOW!

ALLOW TRUE YMPACT TO TEACH YOU "Y" !

THE TRUE YMPACT SWING TRAINER PROVIDES THE ESSENTIAL POSITION AT THE MOMENT OF TRUTH....IMPACT!

Position the top of the arm brace and lower support bar to face the target when addressing the ball for all golf shots.
TRUE YMPACT™ reinforces this consistent impact position for consistent ball striking when chipping.

Start all swings by setting the main assembly screw in the dual hinge pivot, to zero degrees.
Just turn the adjustment screw clockwise to the right until it rests against the hinging arm.
This "zero degree position" aligns your lead forearm and the shaft of your golf club in a solid straight line for consistent ball striking.

Hold the line.

The zero degree position will provide the leading arm and clubshaft to form a solid line at three critical times in your swing..........at address, impact, and follow through positions.
True Ympact has been engineered to allow for the vertical hinge of the wrist in the backswing, while restricting the lateral motion at impact!

Make sure your forearm and arm plate both face the target when you address the ball.
Adjust for this proper position by loosening the straps and re-attaching to your forearm.
You will notice that the engineering design provides that the lower support bar also points directly to the target as you address the ball.
This is a tremendous visual guide for those looking for visual assistance.

Your golf club shaft will appear to be an extension of your arm from address to impact.
Now  the bigger shoulder muscles will be allowed to do their job!

TRUE YMPACT is now pre-set to totally restrict any amount of lateral flipping motion of the hands.
This consistent address position allows for the shoulders to properly rock back and forth toward the target line.
For proper posture, please lean toward your target with your leading shoulder and not your hips.
Use your shoulders to take the club, back, through, and always HOLD YOUR FINISH after you strike the ball.
The finish position provides tremendous feedback because it shows the position of the lower support bar.
If your roll your forearms too much, or you open your shoulders too much, the lower support bar and arm brace will be your true indicators, pointing either left right or straight at the target.

If you have a predisposition to raise up and out of your chip shots, your tendency will be the same with all other swings.
The Cure?
Practice by using a tee in the ground, and practice clipping tees around the green.
If you can't clip the tee, your posture may be compromised from lifting your spine angle at the waist, or lifting your height with knees.
Remember that we don't always look up, we lift up when we miss the golf ball.

Clip the ball off a tee when chipping, and remain looking at the tee until you hear the ball land on the green.

TRUE YMPACT CHIPPING DRILL

SAY THESE WORDS TO YOURSELF AS YOU CHIP THE BALL.
Back, through, and LISTEN!

BACK............ .is the word you say to yourself as you take the clubhead back.
THROUGH... is the word you say to yourself as you swing THROUGH the golf ball.
LISTEN ..........is the word you say to yourself as you LISTEN for the ball to hit the green before you look up.

Your job is to watch where the ball used to be, so stare at the tee, the grass, the sand, or the divot.
It's the cameraman's job to follow the ball.
Your job is to watch your divot or area where the ball used to be.

It is essential that the arm plate on your leading arm face the target when striking the ball at impact.
The arm plate is the back of your forearm and your hand.
As you progress, you may release the adjustment screw slightly to allow for a more comfortable address position, however, the goal is to allows return the shaft to the zero degre, in-line relationship with your leading arm and the clubshaft all in one solid line through the impact area.

You will notice that the dual hinge pivot has been engineered to allow for the proper vertical hinging of the wrists in the backswing for every shot, while restricting the unwanted lateral motion that may occur before, during, or after impact.
